Travis Haddix
Blues - There's None Better



Travis Haddix was born on November 26, 1938 in Walnut MS. About thirty miles south of Memphis TN. His interest in music begin at an early age, and after seeing B.B. King perform at the WDIA Radio station in Memphis, young Haddix new that the guitar was the musical instrument that he wanted to play.

The Haddix Family moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where Travis continued to refine his craft learning from his Father Chalmus, and his older Brother Alvie. In 1959, Travis moved to Cleveland, Ohio where he joined the D.L. Rocco band and later toured with Little Johnnie Taylor. In addition to writing his own material , Travis also writes for, Artie "blues Boy" White, Dicky Williams and veteran blues man Jimmy Dawkins.
