REGENT ENTERTAINMENT SET TO DISTRIBUTE SORDID LIVES The hysterically funny film, Sordid Lives, produced by Dallasite J. Scott Jones has picked up by Regent Entertainment for national and international distribution of the film. The film is now set for a January premiere in Hollywood followed by a nationwide release. Since its premiere at the USA Film Festival in Dallas, where it won the Audience Award for Best Film, Sordid Lives has been on the film festival circuit. At New York's Independent Film Festival, it won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Feature and the Best Actor Award for Leslie Jordan; the Patron's Award for Best Film at the San Diego Film Festival; the Audience Award & the Outstanding Achievement in Fihmmaking at the Memphis International Festival; and Best Feature Film at the South Beach Festival. Since the film wrapped, Jones has been hard at work on his new CD which was released in September. Jones has co-written songs for the CD with such hot shot songwriters as Grammy winner, Karen Taylor-Goode; Jason Blume and John Berry.
