| CAROL ELLIOTT (Nashville, Tn.) - 1994 Kerrville New Folk Finalist who isoriginally from Atlanta, has been playing the Kerrville Music Festivalsever since and was also featured on the 1995 Kerrville Press Tour ofTexas and the Kerrville Symphony Square concert with Shake Russell,Betty Elders, Buddy Mondlock and Michael McNevin. Carol had beenworking in Nashville for a number of years, including as executivecoordinator for several Nashville producers. Prior to Kerrville, shehad some success with her song "Corn, Water and Wood", recorded byMichael Martin Murphey and Bryndle and. performed by the Riders in theSky. She has performed in Paris, San Francisco, Nashville, Atlanta andmore than 50 other cities on national and regional tours lasting up toseven months. Her new CD, "The People I Meet" (1996) is being supportedon a tour this year with Buddy Mondlock of Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas,Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Louisianna. She recentlyplayed the White House in Washington. She was one of the stars selectedas a celebrity presenter and entertainer at the 1996 Kerrville MusicAwards. |
